Best Buy Canada and Future Shop Now Accepting Online Pre-orders; Leap Motion Controllers In Stores Beginning October 15

Leap Motion™ today announced Best Buy Canada and Future Shop will be the first to sell the Leap Motion™ Controller in Canada. The retailers began taking online pre-orders today, and devices will roll out to all stores across Canada beginning October 15.

Since the Leap Motion Controller launched globally in July, customers around the world have been using it to play games, learn in 3D, create music and art, and more. Users have downloaded more than 1 million apps from Leap Motion’s Airspace™ Store. Airspace now lists more than 100 titles, including 5 apps from Canadian developers: Corel Painter FreestylePhoto Explorer for FacebookMotion HockeyWater Waves Screensaver andTVOKids Caterpillar Count.

The Leap Motion Controller works with computers running Mac OS X 10.7 or 10.8, or Windows 7 or 8. It requires a minimum Intel Core™ i3 or AMD Phenom™ II processor, 2 GB RAM, a USB 2.0 port and Internet connection.

The Leap Motion Controller retails for $79.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop.
