Our Leadership Team

Michael Buckwald

President & CEO, Co-founder

Prior to co-founding Leap Motion, Michael was the CEO of Zazuba.com, a business appointment service later acquired by a major national yellow pages company. Additionally, he ran the first deployment of computers to Madagascar with the One Laptop per Child program. Michael earned his dual Bachelor’s degree in philosophy and political science from George Washington University.

David Holz​

CTO and Co-founder

David was pursuing his PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill when he left to co-found Leap Motion. David also contracted for NASA’s Langley Research Center and conducted neuroscience research while at The Max Planck Institute.

Justin Grooms

GM & VP, Global Business Development
Justin is a two-time tech co-founder and former COO and CRO at Rothenberg Ventures, the AR/VR industry’s top venture capital firm. He previously served as the GM of the Advanced Technology Group at Datron, technology licensing and contracts lead at Qualcomm, and a market analyst for Kyocera’s semiconductor group.

Rebecca Bossange

Chief of Staff
As Leap Motion’s chief of staff, Rebecca coordinates our executive team’s efforts and manages strategic initiatives. She previously served as Chief of Staff to the president of ABC News and to the CIO at Bridgewater Associates.
